In this project for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Schiavone is the managing partner of a Joint Venture doing business as Rondout Constructors, consisting of partners, John P. Picone Inc. and Frontier-Kemper Constructors, Inc., in upstate New York for $239,508,150. The contract consists of specialized underwater inspection and construction in an approximately 700’ deep shaft, construction of filtration system for shaft water, demolition removal, and replacement of gate valves and suction piping, and access door monitoring equipment, possible bulkhead construction, and procurement and storage of long-lead tunnel repair materials and equipment; shaft and site preparation.
